Happy Friday + Links 12/15/17

Happy Friday!  We are getting pretty excited for Christmas around the Farmhouse.  There's nothing like the excitement of a 4-year-old to really get you in the holiday spirit!  We have yet to fully decorate or bake all the cookies the kids and I have planned, but we're hoping to get to all that this weekend.  We'll be hosting Christmas day brunch and dinner so getting the house ready is my number one priority now that the Porch House is done (I'll share more on that next week!), but I'm also looking for a new festive cake recipe to try.  Any holiday favorites?  Please do share. Only 10 more sleeps until Christmas!!!  Have you bought all your gifts?  Garrett and I made a stop at Toys R Us yesterday to get a couple hard-to-find items.  Holy moly the pressure of meeting kids' Santa requests is REAL!  Thank goodness they didn't ask for a pony or something ;)  I shared a few gifts that we're giving this year below.

Well it's Friday again so I've scoured the internet for lots of great links.  Grab a cup of coffee and jump in.

I bought the kids matching PJ's for Christmas because it makes my mama heart happy :)  I love this brand for organic cotton PJ's that are reasonably priced!

Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent's new home is as stylish and beautiful as you'd expect from this stylish and beautiful couple.  Also: how cute is Poppy?!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil ice cream sundae...would you dare?!

Building Walnut Farm mudroom

The prettiest mudroom I've seen in quite some time all decked out for the holidays.  Can you believe this is a new home?  Well thankfully it's 2017 so can follow along with this country dwelling on Instagram! I'm taking notes for our Farmhouse mudroom (did you notice those shaker pegs at the top of the wainscot?!).

In a perfect world, this aged brass lamp would be on our desk in the Farmhouse.  A girl can dream :)

I'm not sure I'll get to it this year, but I'd like to get some brass bells and string them up for Christmas.  I've had my eye on a few strands that have sold out, but these would work great on some jute rope.

A "soft industrial" kitchen in Georgia.

If you have a young kid on your Christmas list, I can't recommend this book enough.  Somehow it's only $5 on Amazon right now (like, how?!), down from $17.99, which would still be worth it, because it's that good!

I also bought these board books for Daphne and a few other kiddos on our list. Emily Winefield Martin's stories and illustrations are SO good and this boxed set is insanely inexpensive!  Our nephew will be unwrapping these Carhartt overalls on Christmas, which my kiddos have too.  And for our building-loving, dinosaur-loving boys: lego dinosaur creator kits.  If you get in a bind next week, all of these gifts are available on 2-day Prime ;)

Have a great weekend!

xoxo
