8 Great White Kitchens That Might Make Me Rethink Color

Ever since we started dreaming about our Farmhouse kitchen renovation, I’ve imagined a color on the cabinets. But lately I’ve wavered a bit. A few fabulous white kitchens have crossed my screen and made me rethink our plans.

I know, I know, white can seem so boring. Or maybe (hopefully) you were going to say classic? White kitchens have been around a long time and span all design styles. But lately there’s been a push towards moody hues in the kitchen. In fact the last kitchen we renovated was dark green. But I dare you to take a look at these 8 white kitchen and not fall back in love with white.

pssst if you’re more of an off-white kind of person, I shared 8 great neutral cabinet colors here.

Okay, every space deVOL touches is gorgeous. But this is one of my favorites. I love the white cabinets with the classic details and the vintage feel of this space. And since we’ll be using unlaquered brass hardware and marble countertops in our Farmhouse kitchen, I’m definitely taking notes on how the combo looks here (yup, perfect!).

I saw this kitchen for the first time a couple weeks ago and WOW! It’s a white, marble, and wood stunner. We’ll also be using wood paneling on the walls and have a bank of window overlooking our country setting and I just love how it all goes together. Also, those stools are my dream.

This has long been one of my favorite kitchens (I shared it back in 2017). The combo of white and rustic wood sleighs me.

White doesn’t have to mean sterile or shiny. I’m really drawn to the texture of the backsplash and layered whites in this old space.

Park and Oak’s Wilmette Kitchen

Another white beauty. The blue range might be the lead in this kitchen, but the wood island and simple white cabinetry definitely play supporting roles. This space reminds me that the feel of a kitchen comes from a lot more than just the cabinet color.

Dee is fearless with color but she opted for a white kitchen when she renovated it this Spring. And it’s perfect. The white base really helps the green range, texture, and details stand out even more.

This is one of my favorite kitchens of all time! That vintage island is everything. I’ve looked for more photos of this kitchen (and a photo credit) but have yet to find anything. Please let me know if you know the designer/photographer/home owner!

Chloe’s kitchen

Chloe’s aesthetic is always spot on, so it’s no surprise her kitchen is gorgeous. I love the layered whites in this kitchen: white cabinets, white concrete countertops, marble backsplash, and a cream range. It feels classic and fresh.

There you have it, 8 beautiful white kitchens that are making me second-guess color. Do they make you fall back in love with white as much as me? Hypothetically, if you lived in an old Farmhouse in the country would you paint your cabinets white?
