Happy Friday 1/14/22

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Tonight’s pizza night around here and with one sick kid, we have no other plans at all. Except maybe some Mario Kart with the kids and a few episodes of Witcher for Garrett and I. Have you seen it? It took me about 4 episodes to figure out what was going on and now I’m hooked! Wishing you a relaxing and healthy weekend.

Some links from the week…

A new kitchen designed to harmonize with a vintage pantry. Oh my goodness that pantry is stunning! And I’m obsessed with those curved wood cabinets in the kitchen. You have to see this one, it’s so good! (remodelista)

This is the craziest thing I’ve read in awhile! (@iamthirtyaf)

Three rules for middle-age happiness. “Gather friends and feed them, laugh in the face of calamity, and cut out all the things - people, jobs, body parts - that no longer serve you.” I loved this piece! (Atlantic)

For anyone else trying to become more of a winter person: How to love the cold, according to an arctic researcher. “Instead of looking at winter as something to be endured… Norwegians really lean into it.” (nbc)

In the heart of Louisiana, one man’s impossibly ornate home. Oh my! (tmagazine)

“I’ve been a dermatologist for 20 years, and these are the 3 ingredients I use every day.” Skincare has been on my mind as I approach the big 4-0 this year. (wellandgood)

My favorite comfy pants for yoga and relaxing. (lululemon affiliate)

The perfect decluttering tip I learned from my friend who’s always moving. (apartmenttherapy)

Loved this podcast. Somehow this was my first time listening to ‘Armchair Expert’ but I was thoroughly impressed with the hosts and the guest, Macklemore. (armchair expert)

Did you see the new board and batten in our bathroom? I haven’t been this excited about remodel progress in a long time!

Reading this novel right now. It’s kind of strange to see the pandemic in fiction already, but this one is worth a read! (amazon affiliate, Indiebound)

Have a good one!
