Happy Friday 12/12/25
Happy Friday! Today we’re finally putting up our Christmas tree! It’s a little later than usual for us, but that’s just how this season is shaking out ;) This year we’re doing something we’ve never done before… we’re going with a fake tree! The Poplar Cottage has some space limitations, and after realizing a real tree simply wasn’t going to squeeze in, I fell down a rabbit hole of “skinny Christmas trees” online. Apparently it’s a whole category - who knew?! This afternoon we’ll crank up the holiday tunes, pop some cookies in the oven, and officially kick off Christmas at Poplar. Eeek! I can’t wait. I’m such a fan of foamed milk in my morning coffee that I’ve taken to traveling with my milk frother 🫣 Wo when little milk frother cut out last week after only 6 months, I decided to order this one. Highly recommend! Also highly recommend dropping a little egg nog into that milk ;)
Nana made these pulled pork sandwiches for Garrett’s birthday last week and we all agreed, it was hands down the best pulled pork we’ve ever had!
