The Porch House
A 1900 home with a new chapter
We renovated the Porch House kitchen and sunroom, plus the living room, bedroom, and part of the exterior, in 16 days for our HGTV pilot, Master Plan. After filming wrapped, we finished the rest of the renovation and sold the house to Garrett’s parents. Removing the wall between the kitchen and sunroom, adding a main-floor suite, and bringing back old-house character were all part of the transformation.
A few things about this house:
Built in 1900, with plenty of character worth keeping.
A whirlwind 16-day renovation for our HGTV pilot kicked things off.
Later became home to Garrett’s parents—and Nana’s beautiful garden.
