Happy Friday! 10/23/26
Happy Friday! How are you? Any fun weekend plans? Ours are pretty simple: second-to-last soccer games of the season and an easy walk in the mountains, with espressos, of course! If England taught me anything (and it taught me a lot), it’s that carrying a warm espresso makes any walk feel a little more special. I’m just glad we all still like walking together after 107 miles of it over there :)
Anywho, I’ll leave you with a fresh photo of Poplar in all its fall glory. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
A few things that caught my eye this week:
Our Bath holiday let is my dream apartment (if Garrett and I were still twenty-somethings living in a city ;). We shared a tour on the blog this week.
Life feeling to expensive? It’s not just you. And it’s not just inflation.
I just reordered my go-to lip treatment and sent it to my sister (lowest price all year!). It’s the only thing I’ve found that actually keeps my lips hydrated this time of year.
Bobby’s instagram account had me enraptured this week. It’s all about design and the psychology of place. “Your 10-minute radius matters more than almost anything else about where you live: Think about what you can get to in ten minutes without making it a whole thing. I can get coffee, get groceries, go to a park, and go to a friend’s place. We spend SOO much time thinking about the city we live in but honestly, most of your life happens in this tiny little radius around your home.”
Grandma’s quilts are this winter’s biggest decor trend. Are you into it?
Returning history to a chopped-up 1890 townhouse. It’s stunning (that staircase!)! But you know when you see a paint color and have an almost visceral reaction to it? Well, apparently this green is mine.
My new favorite sweatshirt (but like an elevated loungewear type sweatshirt ;).
Is it time to revive the 1990s approach to interiors?
I’m reading the best book right now. It’s a cozy murder mystery (well as cozy as murder can be, I suppose), which is not my usual genre but I can’t put it down!
Have a good one!
