Happy Friday! 6/12/26

Happy Friday! School is officially out for summer in our small town, and we are all pretty excited about it! It's going to be a busy season around here - we're moving again (back into the Hill House!!!), continuing renovations, and hosting family for most of the summer - so we intentionally kept our plans to a minimum. But the older I get, the more I think summer memories are made of the small things anyway: daily swim practices, sprinklers under the trampoline, the summer reading program at the library, walks to the ice cream shop, and staying up way past bedtime. Vacations are wonderful, of course, but the ordinary moments are often just as memorable :)

Wishing you a lovely weekend and a happy start to summer!

cardamom sourdough rolls are still our weekend tradition (Farmhouse kitchen shown here)

A few things that caught my eye this week:

Now THIS is a boat!

Our oldest is turning 13 next week and that feels like a very good reason to reread one of my favorite articles: 21 Completely Subjective Rules for Raising Teenage Boys.

Have you heard, white maxi skirts are IN for summer. This one is cute and budget-friendly and this one, too.

How fun (nostalgic?) to see 1990s interiors trending again! For me, the 1990s bring to mind comfort and personality and feeling at home in your own home, other people’s opinions be damned (because honestly there really weren’t many opinions without the internet peering in ;).

This week we shared all about the salvaged doors and unlaquered brass hardware we’re using at the Hill House. It’s one of those small details that you probably don’t notice a ton but it adds so much…see for yourself!

Is it just me or have screen adaptions of popular fiction and romance books at an all time high (said with enthusiasm!)?! Loved Every Summer After the book and can’t wait to check out the series (here’s the preview).

A cozy cottage in the English countryside with worldly influences.

Just found this new novel at the library and you guys, I can’t put it down! It has such a creative plot (apparently themed cruises are a thing?!) and it’s absolutely delicious.

Have a good one!
