Happy Friday! Soooo…we put an offer on a house this week. A rental. I think it was only on the market for 20 seconds before I saw it, texted our real estate agent, and set up a showing. And then I had to keep my cool all morning while we waited to see it. Guys, I am excited about this one! Crossing my fingers I’ll have more to share next week.

Remember our laundry room? That one we’ve been working on at a snails pace? Well it finally has a functioning washer and dryer (!!!), and we’ve made some other progress too. So today I’m sharing our design plan, a construction update, and all that good stuff. Despite our slow pace, I’m really happy with the decisions we’ve made. And I won’t be surprised if this tiny room ends up my favorite spot in the house. Yes, really!

Happy Friday! This week we celebrated Earth Day in the garden, picked up trash at our favorite trail head, and got to hear all about our Kindergartener’s field trip to the transfer station (yup, they toured the dump 🙌🙌🙌). Trying to be good stewards of this Earth can feel daunting, but we’re trying. Hope you got some good time to celebrate this beautiful planet of our’s, too!

At the end of every project, I like to look back and remember where we started. Seeing those ‘before’ photos when you’re standing in the ‘after’ is fun, rewarding, and confidence-boosting. But more than that, it’s insightful. Looking back gives me a chance to see where the project excelled and where it fell flat.

Before we could really dig into our kitchen remodel, the washing machine and dryer needed to be relocated. They sat in our future pantry, which of course, just wouldn’t do. These machines get a lot of use (with 3 young kids and country mud, I mean a lot!) and we didn’t want to go without them for long. So the new laundry room became phase 1 of our kitchen project, which we kicked off last week!
