Happy Friday 9/5/25

Happy Friday! There’s something magical about this early September season isn’t there? Cooler mornings, lunches boxes on the counter, and that quiet hum of the house once the kids are out the door. This week, we’ve been leaning into the shift: tidying closets, attempting to prep lunches the night before, and slowly finding our footing in new routines

One thing that’s brought a little extra joy to our mornings is this kitchen calendar. Each morning, between pancake batter and water bottle fills, we read off random facts: lobsters taste with their feet, in Washington it’s illegal to kill Bigfoot, the ‘zip’ in zip code stands for Zone Improvement Plan, an average human loses about 200 head hairs per day. It’s silly, sweet, and never fails to get at least one “whoa” before the day really kicks off!

8 ways for a stress-free morning routine. Number one keeps me sane!

What a dreamy Notting Hill Cottage! The yard, the office (shown above), the little arched doorway to the bathroom - so many beautiful details.

I heard this and this are the colors for fall, or at least the two I like best ;) Here’s the full color list including “slime green”.

How to turn anxiety into adventure. I always feel it this time of year - the racing heartbeat when I wake up, catastrophizing, and that gnawing feeling in my tummy - but I like this spin!

Are framed posters cool again? (Asking for the Poplar Cottage ;)

Big plans to bake like Taylor Swift this weekend.

A family of 7 looked for a wreck to restore in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Which would you choose?

Wishing I had a spot for this adorable sconce!

Just started reading this highly-recommend novel. I can’t actually recommend which of you suggested it to me, but thank you! It’s lovely!

Wishing you a lovely September-summer/early-fall cozy kind of weekend!
