Happy Friday! We’re back at home after 3-weeks away and goodness, it’s great to be home. We had a really wonderful trip, but even so, it’s nice to sleep in your own bed, you know?!
Read MoreI’ve been drawn to deconstructed kitchens lately. I’m not sure that’s the right term, but it’s what I call these simple, open, handcrafted kitchens. There’s a lot of warmth in these spaces. A lot of natural materials, neutral colors, and honed finishes. Traditional cabinets are optional but an airy feel is a must.

There’s no wifi or cell-phone service in the park (gloriously) so I’m a little late, but writing this on our way Prescott Arizona. We’ll be spending a few days there with family (and finally meeting our newest nephew!) before…sigh…heading back north.

Read MoreToday we’re rewinding back to 2015. We were living in the Ravenna House and trying to buy the Dexter House, which was a short sale. When I wrote this post (in January 2015), we were stuck in the middle of the closing process and there was no end in sight. Quite honestly, we were half expecting the entire transaction to fall apart.

Read MoreHappy Friday! How was your week? We’re excited to be heading off on our Spring Break road trip. I’m one of those last-minute planners (pretty sure I didn’t used to be…) so we just got reservations and destinations nailed down. We’re driving from our Farmhouse in Washington to LA and then over to Arizona and back home. Currently on the agenda: a cabin in the redwoods, the Oregon sand dunes, an Airstream camp out, the La Brea tar pits, and my brother’s house in Prescott AZ! We have a few days to fill-in between the redwoods and LA, so let us know if there’s anywhere we should stop or things we should do in Northern California!
