Cozy and Florals for Daphne's Bed

THE FARMHOUSE

*this post is sponsored by Tuesday Morning

We decided it was time to give Daphne a little cozy bedding update! She’s been waking up at night again and we’re hoping a cozier bed might just be the ticket to an all-night slumber. Worth a shot anyway! Plus I love to reassess bedding this time of year when the nights get cooler and bedtimes come earlier. Let me show you what we found…

Beds don’t take much to get them looking and feeling great, IMO. Cotton sheets, cozy blankets, and a couple of fun throws or pillows round out a well-made bed. Oh, and if you happen to have a great vintage bed frame to put them on, all the better ;) We found all of Daphne’s new bedding at Tuesday Morning at steep discounts (like 20-60% off department store prices!) so I veered from my usual all-white bedding scheme to experiment with some fun prints and florals! Here are the essentials we used for her bed…

Cotton Sheets

We’re big fans of cotton sheets around here. And while in the past, I’ve mostly stuck to plain white sheets, Daphne’s bedroom was calling out for more color and pattern! Anyone else been excited about more playful interiors lately? I sure have! I’ve actually been wanting to try floral somewhere inside this house, so when I found these 100% cotton sheets from Laura Ashley for $27, I jumped! The price made experimenting a whole lot easier! And I love that they bring the feeling of our garden indoors!

Layering Blankets

This time of year, when the nights get crisp but not freezing, we like to layer a couple of medium-weight blankets on our beds (we’ll pull out comforters a little later in the Fall). For Daphne’s room, I paired an old wool blanket with a new one we found at Tuesday Morning in Daphne’s favorite hue (okay I’m a big fan too!), pink!

Pillows

We like to layer on the pillows! Usually 4 pillows for sleeping (or 2 on a twin). And then we add a throw pillow or two for fun and to make curling up for story time that much more comfortable. Daphne’s bedroom is also where the kids come to play upstairs so we picked up a few extra throw pillows for her teepee.

Have you ever shopped at Tuesday Morning? This was my first time and goodness, the thrill of the hunt is alive and well there! They offer a low-frills shopping experience and are known for great deals on high-quality and name brand items – 20-60% off what you find at specialty and department stores. They only offer in-person shopping and each store features a unique inventory, so you really have to go to check it out! Lots of bedding, kitchen supplies, furniture, home décor, and more! I wish we had found Tuesday Morning before setting up our last Airbnb.

Oh and this is fun! They have lots of animal supplies too. So, we picked up a bed for Silvi! Now both of our girls have a cozy spot to sleep the whole night through. Fingers crossed! 😉
