Happy Friday 1/26/24

Happy Friday! How was your week? We spent our’s working on the Poplar Cottage - wallpapering, closet building, and painting. I love this part of a renovation, when finishes are going in and all the planning starts to take shape. Eeek! it’s going to be so cute. Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Some fun links from the week…

THIS approach to interior design from Heidi Caillier: “I can’t tell you how many times I say to builders, ‘It’s not meant to be perfect. It’s supposed to be a little bit wonky and a little bit off!’ to which they kind-of shake their head and laugh. … I truly do not understand this desire to live in a perfect little white box that shows no signs of life. These little imperfections are what make a place feel interesting, special and, in my opinion, the most beautiful.”

Katie Hodges’ Hollywood Hills home is so dreamy. And her mirror/window/vanity situation in the bathroom is pure brilliance!

This book got me through painting this week. It was thrilling and sweet, “Think Gilmore Girls, but with murder”. (amazon affiliate, indiebound)
