Happy Friday! 8/14/26

Happy Friday! How are you? This week I felt way too much joy over making my own bed :) Our 10-year-old took this photo, and I think it pretty much sums up my feelings about being back at the Hill House. It’s been almost three years since we moved out of the Farmhouse, and for that entire time there’s always been a temporary setup and another move on the horizon. So it’s pretty wonderful to finally unpack here and know that, as far as we can plan, we’re staying put for a good long while. Sure the house isn’t finished yet (far from it!), but something about making our bed gave me that big-exhale feeling of, we’re home. And it feels really good! Wishing you a lovely weekend.

A few things that caught my eye this week:

I put this on my face everyday.

We shared a big update on the Hill House this week including the status of phase one and our move back. We made it.

“The world could use a little Ted Lasso right now” and thankfully season 4 has arrived! (That was a comment on the YouTube preview and I couldn’t have said it better myself :)

We started settling into our primary bedroom (technically Daphne’s borrowed room) this week with a vintage-inspired bed frame and fresh neutral bedding. It feels like quite the milestone to have our mattress off the floor!

Is this the best sparkling water out there? I think maybe yes…

In case you’re wondering, Deb is the queen of zucchini recipes. No less than half the internet recommended her classic zucchini loaf recipe and there were lots of mentions for her double chocolate zucchini recipe, too.

Just picked up this novel at the library again (I love the author!) and I can’t wait to dig in! Sometimes it takes me a couple checkouts to really get into a book.
