Happy Friday 11/7/25

Happy Friday! This week started with a bit of drama - the kids managed to lock themselves out of their bedroom just as we were trying to get out the door for school. Perfect timing, right? Turns out we’d installed our beautiful door hardware backwards, which made the key useless. For a moment there, it was looking like a pajama day at school, but after some seriously creative thinking by Garrett, the morning was saved…and the door. As our 10-year-old announced in his best movie-trailer voice, “We’re in a situation here.” Indeed we were. Wishing you a lovely, drama-free weekend.

Sally Wilkinson’s new rental flat is just as good as her last one…that is to say, STUNNING!

How to stay in love with your partner, according to an expert. Such fun ideas!

Just easing into the holiday spirit over here :)

Last week Nana dropped off a big pot of stroganoff for us and a second for our friend’s family and it was about the nicest thing you could do for busy families. Stroganoff is such a crowd pleaser!

The pantsless trend reaches its logical conclusion. Haha (or cringe??!!).

Just in love with this 1830s cottage renovated by ‘Brunch with Bab’ and Moore House Design. It’s quite the renovation story and how good is this description: “if feels like Barbara - so welcoming and open, like a big hug around you as soon as you walk in”?!

Copper gutters weren’t in the budget for Poplar, but the black metal gutters installed turned out so so pretty (and cost 1/10th the price!).

I went out to dinner with girlfriends this week and 3 out of 4 of us had this lip product in our purses. It’s SO good (and with sunscreen!)!

What a cute outfit! I will forever love corduroy :)

Started listening to this well-loved book of contemplations this week. It’s so beautiful!

Wishing you a lovely weekend!
