Happy Friday! 6/26/26
Happy Friday! We're officially on the countdown to moving. Garrett's sister and her family are coming to stay at the Poplar Cottage for the summer, so it's finally time for us to move back into the Hill House. We have a lot to do before then, and the house will be far from finished. But when are old houses ever really finished, anyway?! Yes we'll be living through another phase of renovation, but I'm okay with that. Mostly, I'm just excited to be back in our house and start making new memories there. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

A few things that caught my eye this week:
Wow! This handcrafted renovation by Jersey Ice Cream Co is so so good! Tara and Percy move into their projects and do most of the work themselves. “Moving into a construction site isn’t always the most comfortable, but it is when the place starts to come alive. We wouldn’t do it any other way.’” Taking notes on the colors in this one!
A challenge to touch the grass this summer!!
Our 10-year-old just broke his collarbone this week and he’ll be in a brace all summer long :( What the heck do you do with an active kid who can’t be active? I’m starting with a couple well-loved favorites: a kindle with an Audible subscription + Libby (on sale!) and these STEM crates.
My friend just recommended this margarita recipe. Yum!
Currently in my cart this ice cream/sorbet/slushi maker. My sister swears by it (and so do her kids!).
The smartest detail in this Washington home started with an awkward stair ledge.
This week I asked for recs on a coffee pot for the Hill House over on Instagram and the internet overwhelmingly answered THIS ONE! Can’t wait!
A designer’s guide to the best warm white paint colors.
Just finished listening to this novel and it’s the most surprising thing I’ve read in a long time. Thank goodness it’s fiction!
Have a good one!
