A Reader found the perfect mirror for our off-center vanity situation

THE FARMHOUSE

I’ve been searching for a mirror for our off-centered-window-over-the-vanity situation for months now, but I was getting nowhere. That is until a long-time follower sent me a link to this mirror

tile, epoxy, wainscot, countertop, mirror

Thank you, Laurie!

This mirror has basically everything I’ve been looking for… A mirror that’s big, but not so big that it competes with the window. Something that sits out from the wall so it can span the wainscot ledge. Something that pivots so we can use it from anywhere on the vanity. Simple with clean lines. Brass. Check, check, check, check.

Best of all, it was relatively inexpensive. I was to the point of researching custom mirrors (how cool is this one?!), so ‘relatively inexpensive’ is amazing. The only thing I wish it had was curved corners. But I forgive it.

psst: a roundup of extension makeup mirrors

Here’s what the side of the mirror looks like for anyone curious. We’ll likely have to add a spacer to the top anchor point in order to account for the depth of the board and batten, but totally do-able.

If everything goes as planned, the off-center-mirror-over-the-vanity situation should end up looking eclectic, something like this…

tile, epoxy, wainscot, countertop, mirror, makeup mirror, pendants, knobs

Use a little imagination with that view - my photoshop skills are only so good, and there will be a bathtub and rug in the frame. But hopefully you get the idea...

What do you think of the brass pivot mirror?!
